Students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University got acquainted with the work of the State Tax Service

On November 7, students and teachers of the Faculty of Business Technologies under the leadership of Dean Olena Vasilyeva and the Faculty of Law under the leadership of Dean Yurii Filey visited the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. During the tour, the students saw how a modern tax service works from the inside: in action, in digital format, in a team of professionals.

The meeting was opened by the head of the department, Oksana Fedorova. She emphasized that the tax service is not bureaucracy, but effective tax administration, payment control, and service for taxpayers.

The students got acquainted with the work of the financial security, tax audit and electronic services departments. Professional acquaintance with the heads of the departments — Viktoriia Kulinich, Olena Rulevska, Iryna Lizogubova, Tetyana Khozyainova, as well as with the legal support department under the leadership of Olha Lysenko — provided a unique opportunity to learn more about the practical aspects of the activity, analyze real cases and receive professional recommendations.

Participants had the opportunity to personally assess the transformation of the tax service into a modern electronic format. These are updated digital services and paperless processes, automation of document processing and introduction of digital technologies to improve the efficiency of tax administration.

This is the first meeting within the scope of establishing a partnership between Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and the Main Directorate of the DPS in Zaporizhzhia region. Our next steps are the organization of practical classes for students, joint educational projects and opportunities for internships in tax service units.
