STEM project «Zaporizhzhia – my homeland»
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic has joined the STEM project of Zaporizhzhia Gymnasium No. 89 «Zaporizhzhia – my homeland». Zaporizhzhia is a unique city, our region is the center of three types of power plants: hydro, thermal and nuclear. It is in our city that the hearts of aircraft – engines – are built.
Experts from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic combined various areas related to the industry of our city and created a comprehensive STEM project for schoolchildren. Students created models of a jet engine and conducted experiments with aerodynamics. And after the practical part, they learned the art of presentations and skillfully defended their projects.
We also held a quiz about our city and told high school students about the formation of Zaporizhzhia, its industrialization, the first industrial facilities, and together we compared car models that came off the assembly line of the enterprise almost 60 years ago with modern ones.
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University has long become a center for the development of STEM education in our city: we help schoolchildren gain multifaceted experience and develop various skills. Working together – developing together!
