Start of the project «Interesting Summer»

On July 3, classes began within the framework of the project «Interesting Summer» for schoolchildren of the VIII regional summer school for gifted students from the Regional Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Students «Grani» ZOR in cooperation with the Children’s and Youth Scientific University of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic».

The participants were very pleased to visit Nataliia Derkach’s excursion to the Museum of the History of Technical Progress of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic». Assistant of the Department of Machine Parts and Lifting and Transport Mechanisms Dmytro Kozak demonstrated the operation of laboratory cranes and elevator equipment, the children themselves operated the crane mechanisms. Senior lecturer of the Department of Metal-Cutting Machine Tools and Tools Serhiy Tanchenko conducted a sightseeing tour of the world of a wide variety of machine tools, and the children saw the work of real industrial equipment.

The participants got acquainted with modern licensed software from the company CARVECO (Great Britain), which is designed to work with 3D models of industrial parts, souvenirs and even money.

Thanks to the cooperation of the Youth University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» with the KOMGO «Educated Initiative», the children began to master the self-defense course.
