School of startups at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic!
On February 18, online classes were launched at the School of Startups from the Children’s and Youth Scientific University, where Zaporizhzhia schoolchildren learn about the intricacies of creating their startup project in order to take part in the «STARTUP with Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» competition with new knowledge.
More than 20 students of grades 8-11 from 15 institutions of general secondary education in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as students of the Zaporizhzhia Electrotechnical Vocational College, attend classes at the School of Startups in order to become a real businessman or businesswoman.
The first meeting began with welcoming words from vice-rector Andrii Ivanchenko and director of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University Olena Nazarova, who emphasized the importance of developing entrepreneurial thinking among young people and wished them success in their studies.
At the «STARTUP: first steps» class, participants learned more about entrepreneurship and innovation, the basics of creating startups and their differences from traditional business.
Olena Starikova, head of the Small Academy of Business Management of the Out-of-School Education Institution «Communary District Center for Youth and Schoolchildren» in the city of Zaporizhzhia, gave an interesting and meaningful presentation on the topic: «Social Internet entrepreneurship of children and teenagers: from the idea of creating startups to implementation.» She talked about the main areas of development of startups for schoolchildren, shared current trends and prospects in this area.
Students of the Small Academy of Business Management of the ZPO «KRTSMtaSh» were invited, who presented their own startup projects and proved that young age does not prevent them from coming up with and implementing competitive startup ideas:
- Olexandra Shpak talked about her startup “Coworking MAUB.EDUCATION»
- Oleksandr Geets presented two projects: «METROBUS» is a Telegram store« and »YouTube business: how to promote and start earning on your YouTube channel«
Young developers shared their experience, talked about the difficulties they faced during work and ways to overcome them.
