UPSHIFT program opens national recruitment for youth from all over Ukraine
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) together with partners is launching a national wave of the UPSHIFT program aimed at developing and supporting inclusion. Inclusion promotes the involvement of all citizens in public life, regardless of their health, age, national, ethnic or other characteristics. First of all, this approach is about respecting diversity and creating a society where everyone can contribute.
UPSHIFT is a global innovation program of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which provides young people with the opportunity to undergo training in the Human Centered Design methodology, receive mentoring support and resources to create a socially important project.
What is needed to participate in the selection?
- form a team of 3-5 participants aged 14 to 24;
- identify a contact person who will communicate on behalf of the team;
- identify and describe in the questionnaire the problem that concerns your team and that you would like to solve. You do not need to have a ready-made solution or project. Focus specifically on formulating the problem and its negative consequences that you want to overcome. In the process of working on UPSHIFT, you will be able to find a solution to this problem;

The national wave of the UPSHIFT program, dedicated to supporting and drawing attention to activities towards inclusion, is implemented by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) together with the NGO «Slavic Cultural Center »Zadzerkallya«» with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany through the German state development bank KfW.
