Career guidance event from a student of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University for school students

On May 9, a meeting «Honestly about studying and how not to burn out before entering» was held for students of Zaporizhzhia Specialized School No. 100. The event was hosted by Mariia Vorozhko, a student of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, who is studying in the specialty «Psychology». The meeting was dedicated to supporting school graduates during the period of exams and the entrance campaign.

Mariia provided the young people with practical tools for self-reflection and emotional relief. The main goal of the student’s thematic block was to teach future applicants simple methods of psychological self-help to maintain their emotional state.

She also shared her own experience of admission and past experiences, which contributed to a friendly atmosphere at the meeting. The high school students received answers to their questions, as well as useful advice on admission. During the meeting, the graduates’ level of anxiety about admission decreased, replaced by motivation to confidently and boldly move towards their goal.

The student was helped to prepare for the event by Kateryna Pylypenko, associate professor of the Department of Psychology.
