Career guidance event for students of 10-11 grades of general education institutions

On November 13, the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic was buzzing with energy – an exciting career orientation event was held for students of grades 10-11 of the city! Schoolchildren immersed themselves in the atmosphere of student life and learned about the world of professions firsthand.

The journey began at the Museum of the History of Technical Progress, where young guests discovered amazing exhibits — from ancient engineering discoveries to modern technologies. Next, they were awaited by master classes and interactive activities by teachers, as well as getting to know student organizations in the «FREETIME» youth hub, which became the center of activities.

The schoolchildren were particularly fascinated by the excursion to the laboratories of aircraft engines and lifting and transport mechanisms, where they first tried to operate real cranes on their own, feeling like operators of high-tech equipment!

At the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design, students plunged into the world of creativity and visual identity at the Visarium master class, revealing the intricacies of design. And the faculty of business technologies and economics invited them to the training «Conscious choice or »guessing on coffee grounds«», where they were looking for the most successful profession for themselves.

Students also took part in a translation detective at the Faculty of Humanities, where they solved complex language riddles. And during the master class at the electrical engineering faculty, they learned more about the fascinating science of mechatronics, which combines mechanics, electronics and information technologies.

The event took place within the framework of the «Student Weekend» project with the support of the Department of Sports, Family and Youth and the Department of Education and Science of Zaporizhzhia City Council.
