Prizes of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Young Scientists for 2025: acceptance of works has begun
Until February 18, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University is accepting works for the Prizes of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Young Scientists for 2025.
Starting in 2025, the competitive selection of scientific works for the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Young Scientists will be carried out according to a new procedure by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine in accordance with the following documents:
- The procedure for drawing up and submitting documents, conducting a competitive selection of scientific works for the award of the Prize of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to Young Scientists »
- Terms of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine for the competitive selection of scientific works for the award of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize to Young Scientists
- as well as taking into account the provisions of other regulatory legal acts regulating the activities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine
Scientific works containing information constituting a state secret are drawn up in accordance with the established requirements in the field of state secret protection and are submitted to the Security Service of Ukraine within a specified period in accordance with Instructions on the preparation and submission to the Security Service of Ukraine of documents and materials containing information constituting a state secret for the award of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize to young scientists, as well as the procedure for their consideration »
The award is given to young scientists – citizens of Ukraine aged (as of March 1 of the year of the competition) up to 35 years inclusive, if the scientist has a higher education not lower than the second (master’s) level, or up to 40 years inclusive, if the scientist has a doctorate degree, for significant scientific achievements obtained during the conduct of fundamental and/or applied scientific research, in particular for:
- discovered previously unknown patterns, obtained fundamentally new scientific results, developed new scientific theories and concepts that have received practical confirmation and recognition in Ukraine and/or abroad, obtained outstanding achievements in the fields of exact, natural, technical, social and humanitarian sciences that solve specific tasks of the state, meet the interests and expectations of citizens, territorial communities, Ukrainian society, and also contribute to the further development of science, social progress and affirm the high authority of scientists in Ukraine and the world
- new means, devices, substances have been developed, new strains of microorganisms, plant varieties, animal breeds have been created, their radical improvements or use for a new purpose have been carried out, which is confirmed by the relevant patents, and the implementation of which in practice significantly affects the solution of humanitarian and socio-economic problems (confirmed by acts of implementation), issues of national security and defense
- new objects of technology (means, devices), technological processes have been created, which in most technical parameters correspond to the world level or exceed it (confirmed by invention patents) and the implementation of which in practice significantly affects the solution of humanitarian and socio-economic problems (confirmed by acts of implementation), issues of national security and defense
- new effective means of education and training of specialists, information technologies have been created
Up to 50 Awards are granted annually in the amount of 60 subsistence minimums for able-bodied people as of January 1 of the year following the year of submission of works for the Award.
