Representatives of the European Commission on Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, the ECHO team and the international organization «Man in Need» visited the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic dormitory
On November 20, Mr. Hans Das, Deputy Director General and Executive Director of the European Commission for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid, together with the ECHO team and representatives of the international organization «Man in Need» visited dormitory #4 of the university, which is a shelter for people and families displaced from the occupied territories and front-line settlements.
Vadim Dubina, the director of the university campus, expressed his gratitude for the already provided support and asked for help with the repair work in dormitory No. 2, which suffered significant damage from the KAB and which can only be restored by joining forces.
During the visit, the guests had an invaluable opportunity to communicate both with the residents of the hostel and with its management. The conversation gave a deep understanding of the current needs, aspirations and realities of everyday people.
Thanks to financial assistance from ECHO, the team of the organization «Man in Need» was able to carry out large-scale restoration work in the hostel. Thank you partners for your efforts and help in creating decent living conditions and stability for people seeking asylum.
The hostel is home to people who left the areas under constant shelling and whose houses were destroyed. All of them are very grateful for the shelter and cherish one common dream-hope: one day to return home and rebuild their homes.
We continue to act together and tirelessly to support war victims!
