Damage to buildings and dormitories due to Russian strike on January 23, 2025
On January 23, as a result of a Russian attack, the buildings and dormitories of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University were damaged, in particular:
- walls were damaged, windows and frames were broken in classrooms and educational laboratories in buildings 3, 4, and 5, as well as in the medical center and in the training workshop
- windows were broken in the library premises in buildings 1 and 5
- the transition from the main building to the administrative building
- windows and doors in the premises of the Admissions Committee
is damaged
Damaged windows in dorm rooms 4, 5, and 6, dorm 4 had window frames completely blown out in the Student Government Center. Not only our students live in the dormitories, but also their relatives from the occupied territories, many children of preschool and school age who are forced to endure the winter cold in difficult conditions.
We will be grateful for international organizations, charitable foundations, and other organizations that can contribute to the restoration of the educational process and comfortable living conditions in the dormitories for prompt assistance in restoring the lost.
