After amendments, the bill on higher education retained the logic of the ministry – Sulima
The new bill «On Higher Education», which was developed by an operational working group on behalf of the Prime Minister, has been amended by more than 60 changes, but the logic of the document laid down by the Ministry of Education has been preserved
This opinion was expressed in a comment to UKRINFORM by the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Yevhen Sulima.
«It is proposed to amend the bill on higher education by more than 60 changes, and they will be made to already developed articles. I would not say that it has been completely radically changed. The scheme or main logic of the law has not been changed, that is, the systematicity that was laid down by the ministry remains,» he explained Sulima.
The official, however, clarified that the ministry has not yet received a finalized version of the document.
«We also have not yet received a finalized version of the bill, »not raw«, as Mykola Yanovych said. Then, perhaps, we will finalize something so that our educators believe that this year the law on higher education will appear,» – emphasized the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports.
Commenting on the recent statement of the head of the All-Ukrainian Student Council Anastasiia Sabova about her intention to make some more proposals to the already finalized version of the bill, Sulima answered in the affirmative: «If Sabova made these proposals and formalized them accordingly, then I believe that they should also be considered by the working group. And when they make a decision there, whether they will take them into account or not – time will tell. Everything will be worked out in a democratic way,» – summed up Sulima.
