The first graduation of students of the Financial Literacy group
On May 14, the results of the Financial Literacy group of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» were summed up.
The key to the successful organization of the group’s classes was the work of a team of experienced teachers of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance (head of the department Nataliia Fatyukha, professor Iryna Andryushchenko, associate professors Viktoriia Babenko-Levada, Iryna Pakhomova, Yuliia Nabatova, associate professor Oleksandr Koval and senior lecturer Olena Shestopalova). Each teacher prepared classes on the topic in which he is a great specialist.
During the classes, the students gained knowledge about finance and business. Special interactives helped students develop leadership qualities, entrepreneurial, critical and creative thinking, emotional intelligence, logical thinking, communication skills, the ability to competently use their own resources and helped them understand how to protect them from scammers.
The training ended with the presentation of certificates to the 8 most active students: Oleksiy Ropal (Zaporizhzhia Lyceum «Logos»), Alla Varyanyk and Polina Rudyak (Zaporizhzhia Gymnasium No. 1 named after T.G. Shevchenko), Mariia Guk, Georgy Levada and Oleksandr Lugvishchyk (Zaporizhzhia Academic Lyceum No. 34), Sofiia Choliy and Yevheniy Manyuta (Zaporizhzhia Gymnasium No. 12).
The next academic year within the circle «Financial Literacy» we will continue to teach basic skills to students in grades 8-9, and for already knowledgeable students in grades 10-11 we are preparing a more advanced program.
