The first graduates of the DILLUGIS international academic mobility project

Since the beginning of October 2022, students and teachers of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University have been involved in the online format of educational programs of academic mobility of the East Bavarian University of Amberg-Weiden.

Under the disciplines «Object-oriented coding» and «Sensors for smart systems», students have already passed the final exams and received the corresponding certificates.

FRET and GF students (Mykyta Kobets, Nagurnyi Vladyslav, Sofiia Fedorova, Dmytro Chernyaev, Taras Shevchenko) listened to the course «Object-oriented coding» in English, completed a software project using the Python programming language on a selected topic under the guidance of the German professor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Beham.

Bachelor and master students of FRET and FCNT (Olha Baranova, Eduard Boyko, Evgeny Polovinchuk, Taras Shevchenko, Anastasiia Yatsenko) studied the basic theoretical principles of the hardware components of sensors for Smart systems in English, observed experimental studies by the German engineer Dipl.−Ing. Arno Erzberger.

Despite problems with electricity supply, internet connection and shelling, our students successfully passed exams and received certificates for completing courses within the framework of international academic mobility.

We congratulate the students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and look forward to the completion of the next courses under the DILLUGIS project.

Students and teachers about participation in the project:

Feedback of Natalie Mironova, associate professor of the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Means:

«This year, we opened the master’s degree course »Automation and computer-integrated technologies« at the department of information technologies of electronic means. I teach the course »Smart Systems Technologies« for master’s students. My forte is teaching students the fundamentals of software. I decided to choose the course »Sensors for smart systems« to improve my theoretical and practical base in the field of smart systems and robotics.

The materials (lecture presentations) of the course »Sensors for Smart Systems« are very clear, well developed, and the content is presented clearly, logically and in an orderly manner. Online lectures Dipl.−Ing. Arno Erzberger magically captured the attention of listeners with a lot of experiments. The lecturer explained and showed complex things in lectures in simple words and did it very simply.»

Feedback by Master Boyko Eduard:

«On the course, all aspects of smart sensors were studied, starting from the philosophy of the sensor and ending with the most accurate calculations of sensor operation. Many of their types, creation methods, technical properties of each were analyzed, they learned how to calculate the cost and develop sensor concepts.

Many experiments and measurements using various sensors were demonstrated live.

Review of undergraduate student Sofiia Fedorova

»The curriculum of the course «Object-oriented coding» by the DILLUGIS project provides a basis for learning the Python language. I decided to choose this course because I wanted to learn a new and promising programming language. Training began with the basics and gradually the level of complexity increased. The first thing I would like to note is the teacher’s professionalism. Lectures by Prof. Manfred Beham is a pleasure, they immediately attract attention. The second is the relevance of information. And the third is a detailed explanation of all code elements.”
