The first meeting of the Ukrainian network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH)
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University took part in the first meeting of the Ukrainian network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH).
On October 8, representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University took part in the first meeting of the Ukrainian network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), which took place online with the support of the GIZ project «Digital Transformation of SMEs in the Eastern Partnership Countries».
The participants were welcomed by Malgorzata Nikovska, Head of the DG CONNECT Unit of the European Commission, and Olha Krevska, Director of the Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. They emphasized the importance of digital transformation for the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, and also emphasized the role of the European Digital Innovation Hubs in this process.
During the meeting, 12 presentations were made by representatives of the European Digital Innovation Hubs network, which presented the prospects, achievements and challenges facing them on the way to the full implementation of European digital strategies in Ukraine.
Professor for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Prospective Development of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Ruslan Kulikovsky presented the directions for the development of the Zaporizhzhia European Digital Innovation Hub (ZP EDIH), which operates on the basis of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. He spoke about important projects in the field of automation, robotics and the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies to support enterprises in the Zaporizhzhia region. The meeting participants also learned about the composition of the ZP EDIH consortium, the hub’s specialization, services, and KPIs for 2025.
The presentations were followed by a lively discussion, during which the participants discussed the main challenges faced by Ukrainian digital innovation hubs and ways to overcome them.
The event concluded with a summary and identification of further steps for the development of the ECIH network and its contribution to the digital transformation of Ukraine.
