Updates in Dormitory No. 4
On June 18, Rector Viktor Greshta, together with Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko and Campus Director Vadym Dubyna, visited Dormitory No. 4.
We continue to improve the living conditions for the residents of the dormitory. In cooperation with IOM, we updated the room for development and quality leisure for the residents of the dormitory. The International Organization for Migration purchased the necessary materials for repair work and arrangement of the room. The campus and the contractor carried out the work and arranged the dormitory.
The head of the dormitory, Valerii Ignashov, introduced the work already completed, namely:
1. With the assistance of the International Organization for Migration, the doors in the bathrooms and the entrance doors to the common shower rooms were partially replaced. Water heaters were installed on the third block of the dormitory from the 1st to the 9th floor to provide hot water to residents in the common kitchens and restrooms. Old lamps are being actively replaced with new LED lighting, which will allow for economical use of electricity in common rooms (blocks, kitchens, bathrooms, and drying rooms). With the help of the university’s energy and mechanical service, the hot and cold water supply wiring in the kitchens and bathrooms was replaced and new faucets are being installed in the kitchens, which will ensure a more comfortable stay for residents.
2. 96 windows and 36 entrance doors to the common blocks and drying rooms that were damaged as a result of enemy shelling were replaced.
3. We have made cosmetic repairs to the fire exits, namely: we replaced the doors with new metal-plastic ones, laid ceramic tiles and painted the walls and ceiling.
We are grateful to our partners for their invaluable contribution to the development of the housing and living conditions of dormitory No. 4! Already today, the residents of the dormitory are experiencing the positive aspects of the implemented projects.
