NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» begins recruitment for the program «Management in Local Government Bodies of Ukraine for Community Leaders and Local Council Deputies»
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University invites leaders and management teams of communities, deputies of local councils of Zaporizhzhia region to participate in the GENERAL PROFESSIONAL (CERTIFICATION) QUALIFICATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM «Management in Local Government Bodies for Community Leaders and Local Council Deputies».
The certified program is implemented within the framework of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Program «Decentralization Brings Better Results and Efficiency» (DOBRE), which is implemented by Global Communities, and in cooperation with the Malopolska School of Public Administration at the Krakow University of Economics (MSAP/UEK, Poland), a partner of the USAID DOBRE Program.
The program «Management in Local Government Bodies of Ukraine for Community Leaders and Local Council Deputies» is designed to improve the professional level of representatives of local government bodies. The training course is unique, as it is developed taking into account the experience of countries that have gone through the path of decentralization, as well as the best practices of business education.
The program involves teachers-trainers and qualified specialists from Ukraine and Poland. The curriculum is accredited by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service.
The structure of the program includes 10 modules on the following topics:
Module 1. Local self-government – concepts, models and practice in Ukraine
Module 2. Human resources and personnel management
Module 3. Local economic development management
Module 4. Public services – scope, methods, management issues
Module 5. Strategic planning as a tool for managing territorial development
Module 6. Budgets and Financial Resources Management
Module 7. Communications, Public Relations and Partnership in Local Government Bodies
Module 8. Fundamentals of Project Management
Module 9. Leadership
Module 10. Diploma Seminar
To register for the program, you must provide: the original and a copy of your higher education diploma (bachelor/master), a copy of your passport and a certificate of assignment of an identification number.
Start of classes: August 2021. The training will be held online on the Zoom platform.
Program duration: August 2021 – February 2022. Upon completion of the training, students receive a certificate of advanced training and a state certificate of completion of the postgraduate study program from the Krakow University of Economics (UEK).
