Informal meeting of representatives of Ukrainian universities and management of MKW on international activities in the composition of Frau Heidi Cordier, Frau Sandra von der Horst, Frau Sonja Knauth

On March 6, at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Science (MKW) of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) and with the organizational support of ZENIT (Kateryna Karpushenkova, Gregor Stolyarchuk) and the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Andrii Kuts), an informal meeting of representatives of Ukrainian universities and the management of MKW from international activities took place, consisting of Frau Heidi Cordier, Frau Sandra von der Horst, Frau Sonja Knauth.

Pro-rector Ruslan Kulikovskyi represented Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

During the meeting, the economic indicators of the region and its educational and scientific potential were presented to the participants. In particular, the economic power of the land of North Rhine-Westphalia is 4.5% of the total GDP of the European Union, and by some indicators it exceeds such countries as Poland, Sweden and Belgium. There are 77 universities operating in the region, where more than 710,000 students study.

A separate and significant part of the meeting was the discussion of the problems faced by Ukrainian educational institutions in the conditions of the military aggression of the Russian Federation. A list of measures of possible support from the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia through ZENIT was developed.

Provost Ruslan Kulikovsky proposed to work out in detail a wide range of measures for possible cooperation between the universities of the Zaporizhzhia region and MKW of North Rhine-Westphalia.
