Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University gladly responded to the proposal of the Center for Professional Development of Teachers of Zaporizhzhia (CPDTP) to hold a panel discussion «Creating a Unified STEM Education Space in the Education System of Zaporizhzhia».
On October 15, a working meeting was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, filled with lively discussions of current trends in STEM education, in which more than 100 educators participated.
Representatives of CPDTP, the Institute of Postgraduate Education, out-of-school education institutions, school leaders, administration, and teachers took an active part in the conversation, outlined their vision of the future of STEM education, and suggested ways to improve cooperation between all participants in the existing STEM development system in Zaporizhzhia. It was a real brainstorming session, filled with insights from individual experience: everyone shared already implemented projects that can become a guide in the further development of STEAM education!
Pro-rector for Youth Policy Andriy Ivanchenko welcomed fellow educators to our university. He assured the participants of the readiness of our experts to join and help with any ideas aimed at modernizing science and mathematics education in our city.
The activities of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic within the framework of STEM and early career guidance were presented by the director of the Educational, Scientific and Production Center «Zaporizhzhia Regional Center of Polytechnic Education» (NNVC «ZRTsPO»), Tetiana Solovyova, and the director of the Children and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» Olena Nazarova. The main idea is to involve specialists from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University in the development of engineering and research work at the school. Currently, the implementation of jointly developed STEM projects has already begun.
Children’s and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» is one of the effective mechanisms for introducing a practical component into learning and creating interest in knowledge, in particular in the technical direction.
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic is ready to organize everything, develop together and help with any initiatives!
