International Scientific Meeting as Part of “Night of Science 2026”
One of the important components of this year’s “Night of Science” at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University was, as traditionally, the International Scientific Meeting, which took place on 25 September 2026 and brought together researchers and lecturers from Poland, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.
The event provided an opportunity for school students, university students, lecturers, and everyone interested in modern science to learn more about current research, new technologies, and fields that are already shaping our future.
The meeting programme covered a wide range of scientific and technological topics:
– Dr Piotr Kasprzak and Dr Katarzyna Kubiszewska from Gdańsk University of Technology spoke about the impact of artificial intelligence on our everyday lives and the role of trust in the financial sector
– Engr. Dr Mazhar Hussain from Mid Sweden University explained how machines use sensors, artificial intelligence, and data to perceive the world around them and make decisions
– Dr Olga Beliuskina from the University of Jyväskylä presented modern applications of nuclear physics that go far beyond traditional perceptions of this field – from medicine and food technologies to climate research
– David Price from Science Made Simple, Cardiff University shared practical approaches to science communication and showed how to make explanations of science clear, engaging, lively, and interesting
– Dr Irina Zelenova, Associate Professor at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, presented current trends in the development of AI and FPGA technologies
We would like to thank all our international partners, researchers, and lecturers who took part in “Night of Science 2026” for their engaging presentations, openness to communication, and support for our university community.
International cooperation, knowledge exchange, and the opportunity to communicate directly with researchers from different countries are an important part of the educational and scientific development of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University!
