Round table «Presentation of the Youth Public Action Plan in the Development of the Regional Strategy “Youth. Peace. Security”»
On September 27, a round table was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University within the framework of the project «Voice of Youth for Social Cohesion and Peace in Communities», which is implemented in the Zaporizhzhia region by the NGO «Social Interaction», NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» with the assistance of the NGO «Human Rights Foundation» (Kyiv) and with the support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
The Youth Public Action Plan of the Zaporizhzhia region in the development of the strategy «Youth. Peace. Security», aimed at addressing pressing issues of youth policy and social cohesion.
The participants proved that they deeply understand the importance of youth participation and strengthening youth work during war and in the post-war context.
Within the framework of the «Youth. Peace. Security» agenda, the youth suggested that the authorities consider the following proposals:
- supporting youth employment and cooperation with employers
- creating recreational spaces and psychological assistance centers
- implementing youth programs to increase social activity
- expanding environmental initiatives and infrastructure projects
The event was held in an atmosphere of lively and constructive discussions. Youth once again demonstrated their willingness to actively participate in building peace and security in their region, despite today’s challenges.
