The Department of Transport Technologies has started work in the international project Erasmus+ KA2 ISDEGO

In January 2025, an international project was launched within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 program Implementation of Sustainable Urban Development Goals in Transport Bachelor Degree – ISDEGO («Implementation of Sustainable Urban Development Goals in Transport Bachelor Degree Programs»).

The main goal of ISDEGO is to integrate the principles of SDG11 «Make cities and suburban areas inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable» into the key disciplines of bachelors of transport technologies at universities in Ukraine and Moldova, which will change educational trajectories, prepare leaders of new thinking and allow graduates to become more adaptable for employment in the labor market.

Within the framework of the ISDEGO project, it is planned to develop new training modules with the integration of the principles sustainable development, updating existing educational programs and creating a system for their assessment. In addition, each university will create a laboratory for sustainable urban transport and develop a system of microcredits for training specialists who meet the needs of the labor market.

The first official meeting of the project participants took place on January 20–21, 2025 at the coordinating university – the Maritime University of Szczecin (Poland). Representatives of universities from the EU, Ukraine and Moldova joined the meeting.

The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University was represented at the meeting by the Dean of the Faculty of Transport Oleksiy Kuzkin and the Head of the Department of Transport Technologies Professor Serhiy Turpak. The participants discussed key aspects of the project implementation and identified further steps for cooperation, in particular, the development of new educational components and laboratories for sustainable urban transport.

The ISDEGO project is an important stage in the development of transport education in Ukraine and Moldova, it will provide students with new opportunities for learning and professional growth in the context of modern challenges of sustainable development.
