Information day of the «Horizon Europe» program from the NCP «Research Infrastructures»
On November 21-22, the Information Day of the EU research and innovation program «Horizon Europe» was held on the basis of the Uzhgorod National University, organized by the National Contact Points (NCPs) in the areas of «Research Infrastructures» and «Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area» (WIDERA). The event brought together scientists, specialists and researchers who seek to expand cooperation with European partners.
On November 21, individual consultations took place:
- Olha Sulema, the head of the national contact point at Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, consulted in the direction of «WIDERA»
- Larisa Tumarchenko, a leading specialist in the NCP at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, advised in the direction of «Research infrastructures»
On November 22, the Information Day of the EU research and innovation program «Horizon Europe» was held in a hybrid format, which included the following key sessions:
- Ihor Taranov, Head of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, opened the event with an introductory speech
- Olha Sulema and Liudmyla Vlasyuk, the head and leading specialist of the NCP in the «WIDERA» direction, familiarized the participants with the general rules of participation in the «Horizon Europe» program and the possibilities of the «WIDERA» direction
- Maksym Kolisnyk, chief specialist of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, presented successful examples of the participation of Ukrainian organizations in the direction of «WIDERA»
- Larysa Tumarchenko, a leading specialist of the NCP «Research Infrastructures», highlighted new prospects for Ukrainian research thanks to access to European research infrastructures
- Nadia Naumova, chief specialist of the Horizont Europe Office in Ukraine, spoke about the success stories of Ukrainian organizations in the field of «Research Infrastructures»
- during the event, they also discussed the specifics of the formation of consortia within the Horizon Europe program and provided answers to the participants’ questions
The information day became an important platform for sharing experience, informing about the possibilities of European cooperation and strengthening partnership ties. Ukraine’s participation in the «Horizon Europe» program promotes integration into the international scientific space, expands the horizons of research and opens up new opportunities for scientists.
