III National Forum on Intellectual Property and Innovation IP LET FORUM 2024
On November 29, the III National Forum on Intellectual Property and Innovation IP LET FORUM 2024: Law, Economy, Technology — legislation, economy and technology united by intellectual property — was held in Kyiv. It was held with the participation of key stakeholders in the field of intellectual property to discuss complex issues at the intersection of IP and innovation that arise in the process of approximation of Ukrainian legislation, the national market and Ukraine’s innovation potential to the EU.
Forum organizers: Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and IP Office. The event will be held in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Speakers of the seven sessions of IP LET FORUM 2024 revealed the following issues:
- IP integration processes: getting closer to the EU
- national brand: «Made in Ukraine»
- the future of creative industries: how digitalization transforms approaches to IP
- new practices in IP protection: implementing the best
- from startups to megaprojects: innovative infrastructure as the key to development
- geographic identity: from folk crafts and crafts to a national manufacturer
- commercialization of intellectual property: turning ideas into profit
The university was represented at the forum Vice-Rector for Research Vadim Shalomeyev and Acting Head of the Research Department Nataliia Vysotska.
Also during the event, an exhibition of innovative developments from representatives of the Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) network took place. Visitors saw 20 advanced technological solutions from leading higher education institutions, scientific institutions, and chambers of commerce and industry: from a virtual reality simulator to complex engineering solutions in the MedTech field.
Our university was represented by two developments:
- «Development and research of deformable magnesium alloys for biodegradable structures in stenting and osteosynthesis» (authors — rector Viktor Greshta and vice-rector Vadim Shalomeyev).
- «Method of heat treatment of tool steel to increase resistance to impact fracture» (authors — head of the department of integrated welding technologies and structural modeling Oleksiy Kapustyan and professor Mykhailo Brikov).
