Yevhen Sulima visited Zaporizhzhia National Technical University
On March 22, 2012, while in Zaporizhzhia on a working visit, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Yevhen Mykolayovych Sulima visited Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.
Yevhen Sulima took part in an expanded meeting of the university administration with the participation of vice-rectors, deans, and representatives of student activity. During the conversation, the issues of accelerating the implementation of the tasks of developing modern higher education were discussed.
During the meeting, the issues of reforms that will take place in the near future in the educational sector in connection with the development of a draft of a new version of the Law of Ukraine «On Higher Education», improving the quality of education, and involving gifted youth in scientific work were raised.
Addressing the students, Yevhen Sulima called for more focus on obtaining quality knowledge in order to compete adequately in the labor market, focusing on the scientific component.
During his visit, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Yevhen Sulima inspected the Department of Aircraft Engine Technology, got acquainted with the experience of innovative cooperation with leading enterprises of the aviation industry JSC «MotorSich» and SE «ZMKB – Progress» on the creation of modern educational and research laboratories, prospects for conducting experimental research and development in priority areas of aviation development.
At the end of the meeting, Yevhen Sulima emphasized that the rapid development of a higher technical educational institution is possible only thanks to effectively established innovative cooperation of the entire team of teachers, scientists and students of the university with leading enterprises and scientific institutions.
