Bright «Autumn vacation with Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» for schoolchildren

This year’s autumn vacation at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic brought together students from various schools of the city and region for a week. Driving and useful training for everyone!

The vacation began with an interactive lesson from Anna Skurtul, associate professor of the Department of Journalism. This lesson became an inspiring journey into the magical world of radio sound, where students learned how audio content can influence the perception of the world. The participants felt like real journalists: they explored the role of radio in martial law, learned the secrets of media literacy, and even created their own audio postcard!

Students also took part in the exciting game «Univer-Quiz». Each participant had the opportunity to show their erudition, feel the tension and excitement of the competition. History, geography, culture and even the secrets of the cuisines of different peoples of the world became the topics of competitions for the smartest. Schoolchildren organized a real brainstorm and found unexpected answers to interesting questions.

At the end, the schoolchildren plunged into the world of programming together with the teachers of the polytechnic and specialists of the IT company «Freshcode». Students learned to work with Visual Studio Code, tried to create the first JavaScript code and as a result developed their first computer games – a win for every participant. Schoolchildren immediately saw the first result! And this is definitely just the beginning for those who dream of a future in IT.
