Children’s and Youth Scientific University Clubs: Cooperation with Partners
During the fall semester, students from the Zaporizhzhia region attend classes in the «Integrated STEM» and «Mechatronics. Fundamentals of Programming» clubs, which are organized in cooperation between the Children’s and Youth Scientific University and the Institution of Extracurricular Education «Center NTTM »Polit«.
In the »Integrated STEM« club, within the »Young Lawyer« module, students visited the museum of advocacy of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, took part in the master classes »You + I = Family« and »Try yourself as a human rights defender«, role-playing games »You have rights and faithfully fulfill your duties« and »Court session«, and also completed the quest »Top Secret«. Students learned about the interaction of law with other sciences and found out what the basic and inalienable rights of every person are.
The main focus of the module »Software that makes money« is activities in the field of design, modeling and production, which can be the start of financial independence and the basis of a future specialty. Students get acquainted with specialized industrial equipment, acquire initial skills in working with licensed software CARVECO (Great Britain), which is a system for modeling and processing designer products, logos, promotional products and jewelry.
The »Mechatronics. Fundamentals of Programming” group provides comprehensive knowledge of mechanics, electronics, automation and programming. The classes use modern equipment from a British manufacturer – the Micro:bit microcomputer. Schoolchildren attend classes with enthusiasm: they write programs in the free MakeCode for micro:bit environment, study the operation of a wide variety of electronic modules and sensors, and develop their own projects of smart things – they reveal their creative potential and get acquainted with engineering.
We open the world of modern knowledge, technologies, and opportunities for the youth of the Zaporizhzhia region!
