Forum for secondary education institutions «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic. Educational Innovations»
On September 19, our university hosted a forum for secondary education institutions «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic. Educational Innovations». The main goal of our meeting was to expand cooperation between Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic and secondary education institutions in order to attract a wide range of students to STEM education.
The event was opened by Rector Viktor Greshta, who invited teachers to initiate their own projects and assured that Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic specialists are always ready to support any idea.
We are convinced that the training of highly qualified specialists should begin during school through the implementation of STEM education. The main idea is to acquire not theoretical knowledge, detached from the real world, but useful and competitive practical skills and abilities.
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University helps to form and develop skills in scientific research and engineering activities, invention, and entrepreneurship.
After the general meeting, school representatives were treated to a tour of the university and thematic training meetings with teachers in the areas chosen by them: crossminton, educational innovations in business technologies and economics, software that makes money, and CLIL in foreign language lessons.
