«Effective Teamwork» – training for first-year psychologists from students of the Psychology Department
The first year of study is a time of new challenges and opportunities for students. One of the important aspects of a psychologist’s professional development is the ability to work effectively in a team. To this end, senior students of the specialty 053 «Psychology» organized and conducted a training for first-year students, which was aimed at helping beginners quickly adapt to study and effectively acquire the profession of a psychologist.
On October 15, a practical training «Effective Team Interaction» was held, in which 10 first-year students of the specialty 053 «Psychology» of the group SN–114 took part.
The training for first-year students was conducted by: Kateryna Filonenko (2nd-year master’s student, group SN–113m) and Anastasiia Bashliy (4th-year bachelor’s student, group SN–111).
The training was aimed at:
- acquaintance participants
- development of communication competencies
- development of skills for group solving of complex tasks
- formation of leadership qualities
- understanding of group dynamics
The program consisted of games for getting to know each other and exercises for creating a trusting atmosphere in the group, for group interaction and development of communication skills, team games for logic and solving complex tasks.
The training «Effective Team Interaction» became an important step in the professional development of first-year psychologists. It helped students better adapt to new learning conditions and gave them the opportunity to update important skills that will be needed in their future profession. Such events are a great opportunity to unite students from different courses.
