EDIH Network Summit 2024
On November 26-27, the EDIH Network Summit 2024, a key event for the European Network of Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), took place in Brussels. The event brought together over a hundred participants from across Europe, including representatives of working groups, expert communities and national authorities, to discuss the prospects for digital transformation and strengthening cooperation within the European digital ecosystem.
The Zaporizhzhia Digital Innovation Hub (ZP EDIH) of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University was represented at the summit by its head Serhiy Tanchenko.
During the event, participants participated in seminars, interactive sessions and panel discussions on solving current challenges and successful cases of digital transformation. A special value of the summit were the networking sessions that contributed to the establishment of new partnerships, the exchange of ideas and the planning of joint projects.
Twelve Ukrainian hubs had the opportunity to present their plans for their activities at a special session dedicated to Ukraine, and also took part in the discussion «Meet the Associated Countries — Panel discussion on new EDIHs joining the EDIH Network». A pleasant surprise for the Ukrainian delegation was that the summit was opened with a welcome address by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, who in his speech emphasized the importance of digitalization for the future of the country and the whole of Europe.
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic once again confirmed its readiness for close cooperation with partner countries, thanks to which we will open new prospects for digital transformation and continue to promote the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine.
Representatives of the European Commission shared information about new competitions in 2025. For ZP EDIH, this is an opportunity to receive funding for further development in order to transform from the status of a hub with a quality distinction into an EDIH, which will have more opportunities to help Ukrainian enterprises in the Zaporizhzhia region in their digital transformation.
