Children’s and Youth Scientific University: final class of the «Carousel of directions» group
On Saturday, May 25, the final class of this school year was held for students of grades 6-7 of the «Carousel of directions» club of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University «Zaporizka Polytechnic».
Students attended an exciting online class «The Routes We Choose!» prepared by Elina Tereshchenko, head of the Department of System Analysis and Computational Mathematics.
At this lesson, the children learned:
- how to choose the best routes for travel and delivery of goods
- the story of an amazing trip around the world in 80 days and its mathematical aspects
- basics of Graph Theory and how it helps in solving real problems.
With the help of interactive exercises and interesting examples, children felt like real explorers and route optimizers. Kyrylo Voskoboynik turned out to be very clever and himself proposed an idea regarding the conclusion that Euler made!
On June 1 at 10:00 a.m., we invite you to the Festival «Dreams Come True at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic», during which certificates will be awarded to the most active students of the circle!
In the next school year, the «Carousel of directions» group is waiting for curious students of grades 6-7 to take part in new classes!
