The Second International Twinning Conference UK-Ukraine 2024 «The Role of Universities in the Post-War Reconstruction of Ukraine»
The Second International Twinning Conference UK-Ukraine 2024 «The Role of Universities in the Post-War Reconstruction of Ukraine» took place in Warsaw on July 4-5. On the first day, the conference participants met at an event at the British Embassy in Warsaw, where they talked with partners from the UK and Ukraine in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is actively participating in the Twinning project, within the framework of which it cooperates with Cardiff University. Representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Activities Valeriy Naumyk and Head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Alina Kazurova met with colleagues from Cardiff University – Project Manager of the International Department Michelle Smith and Professor Carol Featherston – and discussed further plans for cooperation between our universities.
During the event, welcoming remarks were made by the Chairman of Cormack Consultancy Group Charles Cormack, Director of the British Council in Ukraine Colm McGivern and other speakers, who expressed support for Ukrainian higher education institutions, outlined plans for the future and discussed the priorities for sustainable cooperation between Twinning partner universities. Nigel Killick, founder and CEO of Reallyenglish (one of the most effective platforms for learning English in the world), announced the launch of Eng4UAplatform – a platform where Ukrainian students will be able to learn English for free.
