Delegation of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University at a meeting with representatives of the Israeli Trauma Coalition and the psychological service of KNU
On June 14, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Socio-Economic Development and Youth Policy Andriy Ivanchenko and practical psychologists of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Mykola Novotarsky and Alena Sadykina paid a working visit to the stress resistance center in the city of Kyiv.
Nataliia Makienko, official representative of the Israeli Trauma Coalition in Ukraine, and Tetyana Guzenko, coordinator of the Israeli Trauma Coalition programs in Kyiv and Kyiv region, demonstrated the work of the center to the university representatives.
During the meeting, our delegation got acquainted in detail with the concept of the work of resilience centers, and also took a tour of the center’s territory.
During During the working meeting, possible ways of cooperation between the Israeli Trauma Coalition, resilience centers and the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University were discussed, namely:
- the possibility of grant cooperation to create a resilience center on the basis of our university
- ways of possible cooperation between our university, the stress resistance center and the Israeli Trauma Coalition in the context of improving the qualifications of the university’s teaching staff
- the possibility of creating a space on the basis of our university for disseminating the knowledge of the Israeli Trauma Coalition among different segments of the population
No less important for the formation of the psychological service of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic was the meeting with the psychological service of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The head of the service, Roman Synelnikov, and her employees, Kateryna Kravchenko, Viktoria Sakovska, and Kateryna Sardanova, shared their experience of many years of work. The service actively cooperates with institutions and specialists who direct their activities to work with the population to support and promote mental health in both practical and scientific activities.
The Psychological Service of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is a structural unit of the higher education institution, a service of the university, which provides timely and systematic study of the psychophysical development of students, the motives of their behavior and activity, taking into account age, intellectual, physical, gender, and other individual characteristics, and contributes to the creation of conditions for the implementation of the educational and educational tasks of the university. The psychological support of the educational process is provided by psychologists.
