Delegation of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» visited Offenburg University of Applied Sciences
At the invitation of Rector Stephan Trahasch, the delegation of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» consisting of Rector of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» Viktor Greshta, Head of the Educational and Scientific Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Alina Kazurova, Head of the Project Activity Department Mariia Pavlenko, and Head of the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students, Young Scientists and Specialists Serhiy Leoshchenko visited our good partners, Offenburg University of Applied Sciences.
For a long time, our universities have been fruitfully cooperating in the field of academic mobility. Within its framework, students and teachers have the opportunity to work with modern equipment and improve the level of scientific activity. And now the planned implementation of joint programs will allow students who chose Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic to obtain a qualification that is also relevant on the European market.
We have identified new areas of our further partnership, in particular the development of scientific initiatives and project activities. Materials science, computer science, mechanical engineering, automation, energy, additive technologies – all these are areas of our common interests.
During the excursion, representatives of the Polytechnic learned how the Regional Energy Innovation Center, created with the support of the European Union and local enterprises, functions. Renewable energy, Microgrid and Smart Grid technologies for business are the Center’s research priorities. We strive to implement the work of the Center’s specialists for the operation of our own Energy Innovation Hub of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic.
Offenburg is a vivid example of the complex interaction of education, business, and government aimed at ecological transformation of the environment and creating employment prospects at leading local enterprises so that young people stay in their hometown. Despite different regional characteristics, we are united by common goals: preserving human potential and leadership in modern technological solutions for the development of the region!
