Day 4 of the International Scientific and Practical Conference Business Ecosystems: Sustainable Development 2025 (BESD–2025)
On February 6, on the 4th day of the International Scientific and Practical Conference Business Ecosystems: Sustainable Development 2025 (BESD–2025), a panel discussion «International project activities and academic mobility for sustainable development» was held.
Experts from international projects, representatives of academic institutions, governments and businesses took part in the discussion.
What topics did the participants discuss?
- International project initiatives and their contribution to sustainable development: projects focused on sustainable development are able to combine resources and knowledge to solve global problems (climate change, energy security, biodiversity conservation and the fight against poverty), in particular the Horizon Europe programme, which supports international research initiatives aimed at reducing human impact on the environment
- academic mobility and its role in strengthening global cooperation: academic mobility as an important factor in developing human capital for sustainable development; mobility programmes that allow students, researchers and teachers to acquire new knowledge, experience and skills, as well as to establish international links for cooperation on important projects
- internationalisation of scientific research and knowledge transfer for sustainable development, in particular the European Union’s Green Deal project, within the framework of which numerous studies are being carried out to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and support energy efficiency
- the role of international partnerships in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals: international initiatives and academic mobility as an important tool for their achievement
The BESD-2025 also hosted a panel discussion «My New Ukraine.» A total of 27 young researchers from schools in the Zaporizhzhia region and various universities delivered presentations. Their work covered a wide range of topics: ecology, energy, culture, transport, law, artificial intelligence, education, mathematics, psychology, media, economics, and physics. This is not the first time that schoolchildren have participated in our scientific events – the best works selected by our experts during the autumn Science Night were presented at this conference!
