March 21 is World Poetry Day – a celebration of the art of words!
This is a holiday when the beauty of rhymes and rhythms, the power of words and the depth of thought are celebrated. Poetry is not only lines written by a pen, but also the voice of the soul that resonates in the hearts of millions.
On the eve of the holiday, on the birthday of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Lina Kostenko, who turned 95 this year, in the educational hub of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, on the initiative of the scientific library of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and with the support of the students’ trade union committee and student self-government, a literary cafe was held «Give a person a little of yourself, for this the soul is filled light».
Students of the university, professional colleges and other educational institutions gathered together to honor the work of the outstanding Ukrainian poetess and remind everyone about the power of the word, its ability to inspire, heal the soul and awaken the light in a person.
In a cozy atmosphere, over a cup of fragrant coffee, her legendary lines sounded – about love and freedom, about the power of words and strength of spirit. Students recited their favorite poems and shared their own thoughts about the work of the poetess.
The evening was filled with gentle poems, soulful conversations and musical compositions, which were harmoniously intertwined with poetic words, adding a special mood to each line.
Poetry is always more than words. This is a feeling that changes us from the inside.
Congratulations on the holiday of poets and poets and all lovers of poetry. May your hearts be filled with happiness, sunshine, goodness and warmth! Let’s read, get inspired, create together!
