The educational and scientific process is built on the principles of competency-based, systemic, integrative approaches using innovative and interactive technologies, distance learning, practical training, independent scientific research, individual scientific guidance, which is based on subject-subject interaction of participants in the educational process in the conditions of a higher education institution.
A mandatory component of the training of Doctors of Philosophy in specialty 231 «Social Work» is practical training, which includes two types of practices: research and scientific and teaching.
Scientific and research activities involve conducting research, preparing and defending a dissertation in accordance with current requirements.
Assessment is carried out through the measurement of educational and scientific results in the form of current, modular, final (semester (exams, tests); certification of higher education applicants) and diagnostic control in accordance with the requirements of external and internal systems for ensuring the quality of higher education.
Assessment of the implementation of the educational and scientific component of the «Social Work» program is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the individual plan during the semester reports of postgraduate students at a meeting of the department.
The certification provides for a preliminary examination and defense of a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
The scientific focus of the ONP involves the broad participation of specialists who meet the program’s direction, which strengthens the synergistic relationship between theoretical and practical training.
The head of the project group, members of the project group and the teaching staff who ensure the implementation of the ONP meet the requirements specified in the current Licensing Conditions for the Conduct of Educational Activities.
The educational process and scientific guidance for the ONP «Social Work» are provided by highly qualified scientific and pedagogical workers with scientific degrees and/or academic titles (100%) in the relevant or related specialty (for the entire period of study).
The main educational, methodological and scientific unit that provides the training of Doctors of Philosophy in this educational and scientific program is the Department of «Social Work».

The certification of higher education students in the educational and scientific program «Social Work» specialty I10 «Social Work and Counseling» is carried out in the form of a public defense of a dissertation.
A dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy is an independent, detailed study that proposes a solution to a specific scientific problem in the field of social work, the results of which constitute an original contribution to the development of the theory and methodology of social work and are published in scientific publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
The dissertation should not contain academic plagiarism, falsification, fabrication.
The qualification work must be published in the repository of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.
The publication of qualification works containing information with limited access is carried out in accordance with the requirements of current legislation.
