We have combined the four most promising areas of modern engineering and science into one unique learning trajectory:
- Composite materials – they are lighter than aluminum, but stronger than steel. These are the composites that are used to build Boeing aircraft fuselages, Formula 1 racing cars, modern prosthetics, and SpaceX spacecraft hulls.
- Nanotechnology is magic at the atomic level. You will control the structure of a material at the nanoscale and create materials with new, previously unseen physical properties.
- Powder metallurgy and 3D printing are a digital revolution. You will become a high-class IT engineer and technologist, modeling processes on a computer and growing complex parts from metal powders using lasers.
- Functional coatings are reliable super armor. You will learn how to protect turbine blades from temperatures or make a smartphone screen invulnerable to impacts using ultra-thin plasma films.
