The Avionics educational program trains engineers who create, integrate and ensure the operation of electrical systems of modern aircraft of all types – from drones and rotorcraft to space systems. This is an industry that combines electrical engineering, electronics, control systems, automation and programming, forming the basis of high-tech aviation.
The program is focused on combining fundamental knowledge of aviation and rocket and space technology with modern competencies in the field of Engineering, production and construction, power systems, flight control, navigation and diagnostics. Students study microprocessor technology, sensor complexes, control systems for electromechanical units, embedded software and technologies of unmanned aircraft.
The training is based on the powerful laboratory infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The lecturers are experienced engineers and scientists who participate in international projects and cooperate with enterprises in the aviation, mechanical engineering and defense industries. This provides practice-oriented training, dual education and the opportunity to do internships at specialized enterprises and abroad.
Students have the opportunity for academic mobility – both national (leading technical universities of Ukraine) and international (Erasmus+, DAAD, partnership programs with European universities).
Graduates of the program are in demand for positions as engineers in avionics and electrical systems of aircraft, developers of embedded software, specialists in the modernization of aviation equipment, designers of unmanned systems.
