Winter school on project management in the field of embedded systems
Students of the Institute of Radio Electronics and Informatics took part in the Winter School, which was held from November 14 to 19 at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund (FH Dortmund), Germany, at the expense of the EuroPM project. For the second time, our students have the opportunity to undergo block training at the Department of Informatics together with students from Germany, Lithuania, Spain, India, China, Russia and other countries. This time Polina SHYNKARENKO (gr. KNT-422m), Oleksiy KRAVCHENKO (gr. KNT-712m), Dmytro KRAVCHENKO (gr. NT-712m) and Stanislav SIRIY (gr. KNT-622m) had the opportunity to study at ZNTU.
The week of intensive training in international teams ended with the presentation of startups in one of the proposed fields: «Energy-saving technologies», «3-D reality», «Aging society». Training was conducted in the form of mini-lectures in various fields and in teamwork (ClassSchedule_Blockweek_Nov_ver4 (PDF, 180 KB)).
The result of the work was 5 startups proposed by 5 international teams – «Virtual reality: Lord Brain», «Aging society: Smart Shopping Cart», «Smart Energy solution: Climate control for Developing country», «Smart Energy Solution: Automated Heating System», «Smart Energy Solution: Smart Fan».
On November 19, the Faculty of Informatics of the University of Applied Sciences (FH Dortmund) held presentations of scientific developments. The project managers presented their works to students who wish to join the scientific activity, after which it was possible to get acquainted with the achieved results in detail at the works exhibition. Most of the scientific developments are carried out with the support of the industry of the region. This is facilitated by the fact that obtaining the position of a professor at the University of Applied Sciences is possible only if the applicant has at least 3 years of work experience at the enterprise.
The next step in the development of bilateral cooperation is the double diploma program, which will give ZNTU students not only the opportunity to study, but also to receive a European diploma in embedded systems.
