Meeting with craftsmen from the creative association «Gems of Zaporizhzhia» at the exhibition in the Scientific Library of ZNTU

The library of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University invites everyone to visit the exhibition of the works of the creative association «Gems of Zaporizhzhia». The exposition opened on September 12 in the hall of art literature (room 516, 5th building).

Today, about 100 masters of various fields create miracles of folk art in the association. The manager is Baluyeva Svitlana Valentynivna.

The multifaceted works of 14 masters of this creative team, presented at the exhibition, impress with their brightness and skillful execution, the variety of techniques used: embroidery, painting, Petrikovsky painting, beadwork, appliqué, papier-mâché, kinusaiga (patchwork without a needle), quilling, modular origami, work with salt dough, knitting and sewing.

Both the older generation and the youth will be interested in looking, for example, at a picture made of cotton wool or onion husks, of salt dough or of a cabbage leaf. Attention-grabbing paintings from ribbons, works of papier-mâché, folk dolls and original author’s dolls.

All works are created with love and evoke many positive emotions and impressions.

On September 23, at 1500 hours, a meeting will be held with the authors of works who will share the secrets of their work in the hall of art literature. For now, it will be possible to inquire how this or that product was made, where the craftsmen take inspiration, and perhaps the authors will hold master classes.

Such exhibitions broaden horizons and inspire new ideas. Also, anyone who wants to show their work can do so in the library. Maybe someone’s creative success will start with audience 516.
