Meeting with the presidential candidate
On May 8, 2014, a meeting of students of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University took place with the famous Ukrainian politician, former Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, general of the Ukrainian Army, candidate for the presidency in the 2014 elections, Mykola Malomuzh.
The guest began his speech with a story about himself, where he outlined his activities in the Security Service of Ukraine during his life: «From his student years, he wrote diploma theses on public construction of KNU named after Shevchenko at the Faculty of Law. I studied the management experience of more than 250 countries of the world: what state systems, history, economic opportunities, what models can contribute to the development of society, innovative directions, stages of transition to a market economy from the Soviet period. These studies became the basis of my work later. It so happened that I joined the state security agencies, the issue of which became my priority both in work and in life. The second priority was the state of Ukraine, and we began to solve the problems of its development with Leonid Kravchuk, later with Leonid Kuchma, then with Viktor Yushchenko and partly with ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, until we parted ways on principled positions. It was not only a theoretical approach and scientific developments, but also practice and activity at the highest legal level.»
Later, he moved on to a question-and-answer conversation. Students were mostly interested in the issues of economic development in the coming years, the fight against corruption, Russia’s information war against Ukraine, the country’s current situation and ways out of the political crisis. In turn, Mykola Hryhorovych said that he sees the future in the innovative sphere, the agricultural sector, new systems of energy, fuel, processing of raw materials, new environmental programs and processing of terry bags.
