Photo exhibition by Serhii and Ihor Lavrov in the scientific library of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University
Dear teachers, staff and students! The photo exhibition of Zaporizhzhia photo artists Serhii and Ihor Lavrov, which opened on November 27 in the hall of art history literature (room 516), will last until December 27! So everyone who has not yet had time to enjoy the work of the masters, come to the library to view the exhibition!
Photo artist Serhii Lavrov – member of the National Union of Photo Artists of Ukraine and the Union of Journalists of Ukraine, laureate and winner of many all-Ukrainian and international competitions, worked as a photo correspondent for newspapers («MIG», «Zaporiz’ka Sich», «Industrialnoe Zaporizhzhia», etc.) and international publications. In Zaporizhzhia and far beyond its borders, he is known, first of all, as the author of photographs of the centuries-old Khortytsia.
Khortytsia by Serhii Lavrov – This is a space where flows of elusive forces and energies transform trees and stones into such images that you won’t even guess whether it is a game of nature or a bizarre creation of man.
Serhiy Lavrov’s calendars, booklets and thematic albums («Eternal Khortytsia» (2009), «Khortytsia Island» (2017), «Zaporizhzhia Love» (2019) and others) contain poetic photographs of the landscapes of Khortytsia, the «Stone Graves» reserve, and landmarks of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia region. Through such photos, the photographer expresses his love for our city and the entire Zaporizhzhia region and instills it in us, the viewers.
Ihor Lavrov, having adopted this love and basic professional skills from his father, became a high-level photographer. He works in all genres, but prefers to shoot wildlife and landscapes of Khortytsia Island. He recently released a photo album and calendar for 2020 «Zapovednaya Khortytsia».
The living world with animals, birds, lizards, snakes, turtles, with fragile flowers and mighty trunks of old trees – this is a parallel reality, filled with its own movements, sounds and laws of existence. The photographer learns something that the average observer will not see and then makes an attempt to include everyone who is interested in the beauty of the corners of the primary world.
The frames fascinate with their plots, colors and dynamics! So, come to the exhibition and enjoy the works of the masters!
