Arm wrestling competition

Sport contributes to the harmonious development of a person in every way, and this is especially important at a young age. Sports make people healthy, keep them in shape, make them more organized and disciplined. Some people play sports for health, and some – professionally. And our Zaporizhzhia National Technical University contributes to the improvement and development of sportsmanship among students.

Therefore, on May 29, an arm wrestling competition among students was held at the main entrance of dormitory No. 2 of ZNTU. Young and energetic boys measured their heroic strength. All the boys tried very hard and exerted as much strength as possible, and in this competition there should be one winner, and he was Vitaliy Nosyk from dormitory No. 4 of ZNTU, Varnavsky Oleksandr took the second place, Oleksandr Gubsky took the third place.

Decided the winners of the student council of the dormitory in the person of Dmytro Kapustyan, and very strictly, no one would win!

However, the winners were not left without awards and gifts, Vadim Keda, the deputy head of the ZNTU campus, solemnly presented medals to each. After the competition, he expressed himself as follows: «I am very glad that the sports spirit flourishes in the university dormitories. This is not the first sports competition held among the dormitories. As you already know, a mini-football, table tennis, kettlebell, and bench press tournament was held. These competitions are becoming a tradition, and I hope that the arm wrestling competitions will also become a tradition and more and more students will join them! I am grateful to the student council of dormitory #2 for organizing this sports competition and to the students’ trade union committee for providing gifts!»

Dmytro Kapustyan, the organizer of the competition, also shared his emotions with us: «As the organizer of the competition, I want to say that I am really impressed by the sportsmanship that I observe among the participants of the competition. Each of the participants was able to measure their strength and show what they are capable of in this field of sports. I also hope that in the future we will be supported, and we will increasingly be able to hold various competitions among ZNTU students.»

Also, Oleksiy Matkovskyi, the hostel administration, expressed his opinion: «It’s very good that students do sports! I wish that there would be more such events and that even more people would participate and that there would be further development! The administration of the dormitory of the student trade union committee of the campus will provide any assistance to the organizers of such events. Thank you all for your participation! And I would like to wish the participants and organizers not to stop at what they have achieved and to develop!».

Thank you to ZNTU students’ trade union committee, the dormitory administration, the campus for the opportunity to develop in sports for the youth of ZNTU!

I believe that playing sports is an integral part of every person’s life, which provides the necessary activity, gives a charge of cheerfulness and optimism, and strengthens the immune system! Therefore, students, take care of your health from a young age!
