«Green Mile – 2018»
On the first of June, the All-Ukrainian track and field race «Green Mile» started in all cities of Ukraine. The event was held on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the Sports Student Union of Ukraine and the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and co-operation of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Branch of the Committee on Physical Education and Sports of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and students of higher educational institutions were invited to participate.
Participants of the «Green Mile» gathered at the «Lokomotiv» stadium of the Classical Private University. In order to run 1,609 meters, which is exactly how much is a mile, students of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Zaporizhzhia National University, Classical Private University, as well as colleges – metallurgical, electrical engineering, hydropower, humanitarian college of ZNTU, economic and legal college of ZNU gathered.
