The student council meeting was a great success!

It’s good that our student union treats students so carefully. Especially when it comes to those from out of town. So, on April 24, a meeting of the student councils of our dormitories was held, where residents had the opportunity to personally communicate with the head of the student union, graduate and doctoral students of ZNTU, Andriy Ivanchenko, and his deputies. Specific answers were given to all the questions of concern, as well as consultations and advice for improving life in the dormitory.

The meeting began with identifying all the achievements and shortcomings in ensuring comfort in dormitories No. 2, 3, 4 and the dormitory of the ZKR of ZNTU during this academic year. Among the «pluses» The students themselves especially noted the organization of the subsidy, the installation of automated turnstiles, the repair of bathrooms, as well as the holding of holiday parties. Unfortunately, serious «minuses» were also identified. For example, faulty wiring, elevators and furniture. The residents also unanimously stated that there were more cockroaches in the dormitory than students. Here Andriy Volodymyrovych asked to pay attention to their own household culture, because in August of each year the dormitories are subject to mandatory sanitation. So, cockroaches are bred by the students themselves, who do not monitor cleanliness and order. Approximately the same situation exists with garbage chutes and bathrooms: due to carelessness, the residents themselves provoke malfunctions. The head of the student trade union convincingly asked to hold conversations on behavior with the first year, and then many problems could be avoided.

Those present listened attentively to the reports of the heads of the dormitory student councils. Students reported on the work done during this academic year. These were mainly various thematic events and sports competitions. They also expressed some of their own wishes for improving life in the dormitories.

Andriy Ivanchenko emphasized that the student trade union is always happy to understand any issues and lend a helping hand to the residents of the dormitories, the main thing is that they themselves strive to cooperate: «Water does not flow under a lying stone! I wish there was an initiative!».

Andriy Volodymyrovych also asked to pay attention to the fact that the trade union offers to take a course in a driving school, many advantageous trips for unforgettable trips around the country and abroad, promotes employment, and advised to write applications more actively.

The meeting was successful, prompt and informative. Of course, such meetings are necessary, and close ties between the student trade union and the dormitories – an important phenomenon in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our students every day!
