Meeting of the Executive Committee of the Black Sea University Network (BSUN)

On October 19-21, 2017, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Black Sea University Network BSUN took place on the basis of the Technical University of Moldova (TUM) (Kishiniv, Republic of Moldova) with the participation of the member of the Executive Committee from Ukraine, the rector of ZNTU Serhii Belikov.

The meeting took place during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the faculties of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics and Electronics and Telecommunications of TUM under the program of the 9th International Conference «Microelectronics and Computer Sciences» and the sixth Conference of Physicists of Moldova.

The meeting was opened by the rector of TUM, prof. Vioreg Bostom. Greetings were given by: Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monika Babuk, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Oktavian Kogmich, Ex-Rector of TUM, Academician Ion Boston, General Secretary of BSVN prof. Eden Mamut, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Academician Ion Tigineanu.

The former (until May 2017) President of the Executive Committee of COST Dr. Angeles Rodríguez-Pena, who was invited to the conference, spoke with information about the work of the European organization COST (Coordination in Acience and Technology).

The future President of BSUN (President – Elect), rector of Aristotle University (Thessaloniki, Greece), prof. Mitkas.

Rector of ZNTU Serhiy Belikov gave a presentation of internationalization experience using the example of a technical university.

There was also a seminar on the topic: «Interuniversity cooperation on satellite information processing and space technologies».

With a presentation about the World Information Center and modern projects related to information processing and space technologies at NTUU “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Vice-rector Serhii Sydorenko spoke of Ihor Sikorskyi.

The director of the National Center for Space Research, academician Ion Bostan, gave a presentation of satellite observation devices at TUM, after which the meeting participants toured the center.
