ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The «Zavtra.UA» Scholarship Program, initiated by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, is the first private nationwide initiative in Ukraine to support talented youth.
Its main goal is to contribute to the formation and strengthening of a new generation of the country’s intellectual and business elite. The program is aimed at ensuring that talented youth find a place worthy of their intellectual and professional level in various spheres of science, economy, and public life of the country and become a driving force for progressive changes in Ukraine.
Scholarships of the «Zavtra.UA» are selected annually on the basis of an open nationwide competition.
WHAT VICTORY GIVES
Within the framework of the Scholarship Program «Zavtra.UA» of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, the most gifted and purposeful students of leading higher educational institutions of Ukraine are searched, selected and supported.
Selection of scholarship holders of the Program is carried out according to the results of an annual open nationwide competition. The competition is regulated in accordance with a separate document – Conditions of the competition, which is approved annually.
Students who have won the competition or participated in it have the right to participate in competitions in subsequent years on a general basis.
Winning the Competition provides the following.
1. Scholarships
The Program provides for the payment of scholarships during the calendar year to the winners of the competition – scholarship holders of the Program (see the terms of this year’s competition). The total size of the scholarship fund of the Program and the number of winners of the competition are established and approved annually by a separate decision of the Foundation. Scholarships are transferred monthly to a bank plastic card of the Program’s partner bank. In 2012/13, the amount of the scholarship is 942.00 UAH. per month, after taxes – 800.70 UAH. per month.
2. Additional opportunities for personal development
Participation in the Program also provides other opportunities for expanding the general worldview, participation in social projects and professional development. Program fellows can apply for financial support for scientific activities, etc. The Program also does not exclude the possibility of supporting fellows during their further postgraduate studies.
The Program provides for the creation of an informal club that will serve as a platform for scientific and educational thematic meetings, for the exchange of experience and information, etc.
