The Department of Social Work successfully trains highly qualified specialists who are competitive on the labor market (100% employment of masters of social work at ZNTU). The price for education is the lowest in Ukraine.

In the process of training specialists, students of the specialties «Social work», «Sociology» receive knowledge from sociological, psychological and legal direction, while combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills in the field of social work. Practical training is carried out in Ukraine and abroad.

From the fifth year, it is possible to continue studying at the department both in the specialty «Social work», and in the specialties «Social support», «Sociology». Since 2016, the department has opened a budgetary and contract post-graduate course in the specialty «Social Work».

The sphere of professional activity of a social worker is: management of the social sphere; civil service; the field of education, health care; sociological research; public opinion survey; social administration; social policy, socio-political analytics; social consulting, social marketing; social advertising; public and charitable activities; personnel management, recruiting companies; public relations, media services.

For admission to the specialty of social work at ZNTU, applicants provide certificates of the National Technical University of Ukraine in the following subjects: 1. Ukrainian language; 2. History of Ukraine; 3. Biology or a foreign language (optional).

Enrolled students of the department are guaranteed accommodation in dormitories (for non-local students), access to university infrastructure facilities, the lowest cost of education and living in dormitories is ensured, meaningful rest and leisure are organized, student self-government is active, etc.
