Zaporizhzhia Regional Tour of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad

At the National University of Ukraine «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» with the support of Rector S.B. Belikov, First Vice-Rector V.G. Prushkivskyi and Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Human Resources V.V. Naumyk on April 13, 2019  The Zaporizhzhia regional round of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad, which is part of the ACM IPC World Programming Olympiad, was held.

The key role in organizing the event was played by the team of the Software Department (Head of the Department S.O. Subbotin, Associate Professor N.O. Mironova, Associate Professor O.M. Gladkova, Associate Professor T.V. Fedoronchak, Senior Associate Professor L.Yu. Deynega, Head of the Lab. T.G. Kashyna, Head of the Lab. M.O. Andreyev, laboratory assistants V. Medkov and A. Syzonenko and volunteers, in particular E. Tverdokhlib and V. Khokhlova).

Representatives of the departments also participated in the organization of the Olympiad: computer systems and networks (R.K. Kudermetov, O.V. Polska, N. Soldatova, T. Belsky, D. Mazur), information protection (G.V. Nelasa), information technologies of electronic means (G.M. Shylo).

The event was supported by partners of the Department of Software Tools – Vimeo company (Yu. Piven), Mevo company (D. Vertinsky) and NGO «Ekosense» (T. Zhavzharova).

Students from leading universities and colleges of the Zaporizhzhia region took part in the event. Students were also joined by schoolchildren from Zaporizhzhia.

The victory in the regional round was won by the team of the Department of Software Tools Question_Mark (coach – senior associate professor L.Yu. Deynega).

The Department of Software Tools of the National University «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» is the absolute leader of the Olympiad: the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were taken by the teams of the department!

The award ceremony of the winners of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Student Programming Olympiad took place on April 18, 2019. The winning teams and coaches were awarded diplomas by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Activities, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. V.V. Naumyk.
