Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic on World Science Day 2025: Ukraine

On November 12, Kyiv hosted World Science Day 2025: Ukraine — a strategic meeting of the community that shapes the future of Ukrainian science. The event brought together leaders of state policy, representatives of scientific institutions, universities, business and international partners, councils of young scientists to summarize key reforms, reward young scientists and define common priorities for investments in science and innovation, creating conditions for scaling up the development of young scientists.

Zaporizka Polytechnic University was presented by Vice-Rector for Research Vadym Shalomeev, Head of the Department of Student Research Snizhana Vychuzhanina and Director of the Education Center «Education for Business and Career», Head of the Council of Young Scientists at the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Member of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine Anastasiia Zerkal.

The meeting was organized by the MES of Ukraine, the Council of Young Scientists at the MES and the Ukrainian Science and Technology Center in partnership with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation, the World Bank, UNIT.City, Diia.City.Union.

During the grand opening, the participants were greeted by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovii, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Oleksandr Tsybort.

Representatives of the Polytechnic took an active part in the strategic sessions «Policy design: what does business need from science?», «Partnership of science, business and the state in the field of R&D», in the round table «Science.City and Business order – new models of scientific and business cooperation», in the VI international forum of councils of young scientists «Science without borders» with panels «Financial support for the development of science and education» and «Creating perspectives for the development of young scientists».
